FATRAT DA CZAR | EXPOSED (EP)

February 14, 2019

Released on Valentine’s Day, South Carolina hip-hop legend FatRat Da Czar explores the complex range of emotions in romantic relationships. Each song on the album folds back another layer of artistic vulnerability, recklessly exposing Czar’s inner self to the outside world.

FATRAT DA CZAR | ETHX (EP)

October 5, 2018

"ETHX is the larger-than-life rapper’s most aggressive missive in years. It’s tempting to look at it as a sort of course correction, a way to puff his chest after the touchier-feelier 2016 album RailRoad and the love-thy-neighbor salve of his folk-hop duo Colorblind. But it’s not: It’s a return to his gruff, gritty roots. ETHX is who Fat Rat is. It is great, and so is he." — Patrick Wall Free Times

LALISA  | GODDESS FLOW (MXTP)

December 5, 2017

After years of building her resume with supergroup, Grand Royal, and the all-star hip-hop collective, New Success Culture, LaLisa is emerging as a unique and respected solo artist on South Carolina’s hip-hop scene. Combining strength, sex appeal, and street smarts, LaLisa’s breakout solo project takes the form of a ‘90s inspired mixtape with 17-tracks covering some of that era’s biggest names.

FATRAT DA CZAR | RAILROAD (LP)

December 16, 2016

"RailRoad — unleashed upon the world after little buildup last week — is less a follow-up to what came before than a summation of the scene-leading role to which Fat has ascended. A more optimistic offering than its methodically old-school predecessor, the new album finds the rapper handing down hard-won lessons and reflections with wizened authority. Sonically, it’s a remarkably vital work. Beaming with boisterous determination until it sinks into chilly R&B-meets-hip-hop vibes, it would work as a more understated chaser to Chance the Rapper’s Coloring Book." - Jordan Lawrence, Free Times
